Thank you for reporting this. It should work with both forums and topics.
Can you show me a screenshot of your Access Conditions? You can use imgur.com
While you can restrict access to attachment pages for media files, it is currently not possible to restrict access to the media files themselves (ie. deep links)
Hello, Joachim, thank yoy for the answer.
1st of all it should be “only for pages and posts?”… sorry
———————-
I did tried everything, it jsut doesnt work.
Please, if its possible, let me know the right “conditions”, cause I wont try to change it again.. the last time I tried to play around with it I almost ruened the whole site…
I have a lot of “normal posts” and it works great with them.
With the posts it works with these “conditions” and it doesnt work with a “bb forum topic”:
Access Conditions -> Topics-> The needed topic selected
Members -> One member selected
Capabilities -> can read
Options -> Non-Member Action -> redirect to a specific page
the rest is default as it goes
……………………………
doesnt work this way, I can still see this topic selected with a loggedin user as well as with a non registered anonimous user.
and also… this forum is inside a buddypress group..
If the unauthorized user clicks on the restricted topic, are they redirected to the page specificed as Non-member action, or are they able to access the topic and see the replies?
Restriced topics will not automatically be hidden from the forum view itself, but there is an add-on underway that will make that possible.

if unauthorized user clicks on the restricted topic, they are not redirected, they can see the topic, they can reply to the topic. nothing heppens at all, the restriction doesnt work.

yes, this is what would be nice to have. users can see the topics names but when they click on the specific ones – redirections.
thank you for your replies.

Apologies for the delay, and thank you for the error. Are you on the latest version, 2.1.2?
Can you show me a screenshot of what the Access Conditions look like? It will make it easier to see if something needs to be tweaked there.
