So i was trying autoupgrade my WordPress installation from 2.8.6 to 2.9.1 the other day, but with no luck. Recently i have managed to upgrade using autoupgrade, by just keep trying and trying until the upgrade succeded, but this time it just stops at: Henter opdatering fra http://da.wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.1-da_DK.zip and never gets any further.

I am hosted at one.com and i can see that they are listed as “Works with caveats” on the “Core Update Host Compatibility” list. Apparently because of memory issues. I spoked with the one.com support today to find out if they by any chance was working on a solution to this problem, but the answer was no. 🙁

Here comes the interesting part: They told me that Autoupgrade is not working, because i use a locallized version of WordPress (Danish) and that it would work just fine if i used the non-locallized version instead. Can anyone hosted at one.com confirm this? When i choose to upgrade i can choose between both en_US and da_DK, but the result is the same.

Anyone hosted at one.com that can confirm whether or not auto-upgrade is working, with the non-locallized version of WordPress?

Am not sure it’s to do with the localized version as I use the standard version I guess which is English, forgive me if I’m wrong.

And Autoupgrade has completely ruined my site can’t seem to even view any of it and I’m hosted at one.com as well.

The standard/non-locallized version is english, yes.

I have been able to use Auto-upgrade to succesfully upgrade my wordpress installation a couple of times, but i always had to try numerous of times before it succeded. It has never ruined my wordpress installation though, it just hangs in the processs of downloading wordpress and never gets any further.

I am considering whether i should switch to another hosts or wait for one.com to fix this, but i am affraid that the last part is pretty optimistic. 🙁

I eventually did a manual upgrade instead, which is easy enough, but it would still be easier if the automatic upgrade worked… 🙂
