There is a serious difference in quality between the Thumbnail pictures and the original paintings of the galleries. Even in more than one size, this difference occurs negatively.
    The same image in 360 * 360, 540 * 540 and 1080 * 1080 sizes is listed on my https://sosyomedi.com/deneme/ page. Thumbnail dimensions are 360 * 360.
How can we improve the image quality of thumbnails?
Thumbnail pictures of some of the other galleries I have tried also have very high quality images. I wonder if the desired quality can not be obtained from the algorithm used during Nextgen Galllery Thumbnail image creation?

My reason to ask this question is: Some site markers are getting a Thumbnail image as a whatsapp status image directly without clicking the lightbox image. In this case, the lightbox picture (original picture) looks very clear in whatsap state, while the Thumbnail picture appears in a worse quality in whatsap.

Is there anything else we can do?
I am waiting for your suggestions

    Thank you…

  • Hello @ismailercan,

With retina display devices, you need to consider having images to be double of the final size. That, because in those devices, the difference is noticeable.

Our Free versions don’t support Retina Display.

If you want to know more about our Retina Display support, please, use this contact form: https://www.imagely.com/contact/.
    Note: option “Pre-Sales.”
