Hi! first of all, thanks for making this great theme. I discovered it last month and I love it. Not only it looks amazing but the customization options are super rich.

One thing that I would love to be able to set differently is the Single Posts >> Content Area Style option leaving it as ‘Boxed’ for Desktop and Tablets while leaving it as ‘Wide’ for Mobile devices. Right now it can only be set as one of these for all devices. It looks great on Desktop and Tablets but on Mobile it takes a lot of screen space.

Another thing that would be great to be able to set independently is Single Posts >> Post Title >> Type 2 style

The ‘Type 2’ image header looks great on Desktops, but on Mobile it seriously affects the Largest Contentful Paint Google PageSpeed metric, which means it has to set to ‘Type 1’ everywhere. It’d be great to be able to set it as ‘Type 2’ for Desktops and ‘Type 2’ for Mobile and Tablets.

That’s all, thank you for making this great theme. So far my favorite since I started using WP!

    Hello @mauricedg,
You’re welcome, and thank you for your kind words, this means a lot for us 🙂

    1. Unfortunately it’s not possible to have a boxed option for desktop and tablet and a wide one for mobile devices, there are some technical parts that are hard to be maintained in these circumstances. But we will give it a better thought when we will have more free time and will see what we can do.

    2. This also is not possible, you can’t simply change a type for different devices because here is not involved only some CSS that could be easily adapted.
I would suggest you to optimize your images so they won’t influence the page speed so much when using Type 2, we use this plugin to convert all images in webp format, this saves a lot.
Here you can find more info about webp image format.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi! Thanks for answering.

I see, I will try to see if I can do something using custom CSS and the @media screen and (max-width : 640px) rule and report back to you if it works. I imagined it was a technical issue specially when cache plugins are involved.

Regarding the webp plugin, that’s the plugin I also use but for some reason it optimizes all images except for the header one (when used with the Type 2 setting). I tried contacting the plugin author about it. If you check Google’s Pagespeed it always reports the header image and the header image only as unoptimized.

Thanks again for this great theme, I’ve tried 10 different themes over the past 3 years and Blocksy is so far my absolute favorite. I really like how the theme’s configuration options are structured, it’s very intuitive!

    Hello @mauricedg,
Let us know if you where able to achieve the structure you want with some custom CSS, maybe we will share this trick in our community because there where a few more peoples asking about this 🙂

Regarding the hero image, this should be totally something from the plugin because we treat this image the same way like any other image, nothing specific…

We are really glad you like our theme, thanks for your kind words.
Soon we will add even more features, so stay tuned.

Have a nice and productive week 😉
