Hey there!
That sounds like you will want to start with using the Product Vendors plugin. That will give you the ability to allow others to sell on your site (your artists). Without knowing more about what exactly you are wanting to do, I can’t recommend anything further.

I don’t need others to sell on my site. The sales are all through the gallery.
I need to have a page for each artist. Each page will have 1-5 items for sale. I also need a page with a list of all artists.
Something like this: https://www.baradeneartshow.co.nz/artist-catalogue?s=320
Hi there!
I suggest that you create a category for each artist and assign the artists paintings to the appropriate category.
Then you can have a page that lists all categories (artists) and each category will have a page that lists all the artworks related to that artist.

This is a reasonable solution. How can I change the word ‘categories’ to ‘Artists’ ?
Hi there,
You can change the category base under Settings ➔ Permalinks ➔ Optional to be Artists for instance.

This will change the URL of your category pages to something like:
https://www.baradeneartshow.co.nz/artists/famous-one
