Hi there,
You can do this by using a free translation plugin like Loco Translate ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ ).
This will allow you to find that phrase and change it to be what you’d like. There’s a great guide for this available here:
https://danielsantoro.com/using-loco-translate-change-wordpress-strings/
I searched using Loco in the core WooCommerce plugin and found it here:

If you are using Loco but not seeing the string appear, please make sure you are on the latest version of WooCommerce, and then make sure your template is Synched (using the Sync button near the top of my screenshot above).
(just as a note, the string should appear in the file /woocommerce/includes/abstracts/abstract-wc-order.php on line 1074)
I hope that helps!
Thanks for your answer.
I have used Loco translate and already translated this string, but it still appears in english in the website.
Not sure why, but I guess I have to just leave it like that.
Hi there,
I see, that is certainly odd! You could try the following to see if it helps:
- Clear the cache on your site and any server-level caching
- Clear Transients and WooCommerce Transients under WooCommerce > Status > Tools
- Switch back to default Storefront theme, and deactivate plugins aside from WooCommerce (in case something else is overriding that error message, and would need to be translated there instead)
Please let me know how that goes, or if you have any questions!
On the other hand, if you are ok with just leaving it in English, then that works too.
Hi there,
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. If you have any further questions, please start a new thread.
Have a wonderful day!
