WP 5.5 – jQuery is not compatible with Quirks Mode

    Hi,

    I installed Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin on my staging site and then upgraded to WP 5.5 and Woocommerce 4.4.1

    As soon as I visit Woocommerce -> Status -> System Status I am shown the below notice

    It would be great is someone can guide me on what exactly I need to do to fix this?

    Hey there!

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Thanks for that status report! This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.     I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment! I have not seen this specific issue before, and was not able to reproduce it on my local test site, so the next steps I would suggest would be a conflict test as I don’t have a specific answer for you as to why this would be happening.

    When an issue is unknown, the best step is to test for conflicts as if it is a bug with WooCommerce, a conflict test will confirm that right away.
