Add Line Break in Excerpt!

    I have a page on my site showing poems with their excerpts. I have tried adding <br> tags, using the Advanced Excerpt Plugin and looking at all support pages on this site, but I cannot seem to figure this out. Please help me figure out how to show the line breaks in the excerpt, thank you very much!

    ** Somehow the line breaks display when I turn off the plugin, so I know my question is directly related to the Post Grid plugin.
