Error auto-upgrade from 2.8.5 to 2.9

    I know I could try to upgrade WP manually but I was wondering if anyone has a clue what the following message means. Here’s what I see when I try to auto-upgrade:

    Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

    Incompatible archive: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    Installation Failed

    It sounds like an interruption during the download caused you to only get part of the .zip file. I just tested the same link and the file is complete.

    If you haven’t already, retry the auto-upgrade. If the problem keeps happening, contact your web host’s Support folks and explain that a download to your web site from another web site is failing, and give them the URL, and time and date, so they can check their error logs.
