Box shadow showing above other element

Hi I have a page I am creating in elementor.

The layout

|40% | 60% |
|60% | 40%|

– Each row is a “inner section” (I’m not sure if there is another way I could have such a layout)
– These inner sections “appear” as one, on the front end (perfect)

Now the problem is, I want a box shadow on the entire thing.

I added a box shadow to each inner-section. However the 2nd one’s shadow appears on top of the 1st element.
In theory I want the 2nd inner-sections shadow to not have a top part, but I don’t think this is exactly possible. So I need to find a way to hide it.
alternatively, a different way to do this to get the same result would be very helpful.

Any ideas?
