Yes, this is a known issue. It’s fixed in the latest 2.0 beta pre-release of the AMP plugin: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/releases
The issue is that amp-story-player only recently became a valid AMP component. So this latest version of the AMP plugin fixes that issue.
But you should also at the same time pull down the latest from the main branch of Web Stories and do a fresh build there, as there are other compatibility problems in Web Stories 1.0-beta1.
