The 2FA activation is time-sensitive. We will need to verify server/site time is in sync with your device. Go to Wordfence > Login Security and scroll to the bottom of the page. You should see Server Time and Browser Time. These should match in order to work properly.
You can also check Tools > Diagnostics > Time for similar information.

Hi, thanks for the response. I checked server/browser time as you described:
Server Time: 2020-08-11 20:43:35 UTC (2020-08-11 16:43:35 America/New_York)
Browser Time: Tue, 11 Aug 2020 20:43:36 GMT (Tue Aug 11 2020 16:43:36 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))
They appear to be 1 sec off, does this matter?

One second is usually normal and shouldn’t cause any issues. Which authenticator are you attempting to use?
