    log is here

Using Updraft Plus free version and haven’t yet had a successful backup. Unfortunately, the hosting is through GoDaddy which I find difficult to get help with. I have split it to 25 MB, used an uptime monitor, tried refreshing the website page frequently during backup, and also kept the settings page open.

I’m hoping there is suggestions for getting a backup to work if not with Updraft then something else.

    Hi,

    Thanks for sending the log.

    Two issues:
    1. 5052.883 (7) [Warning] Your website is visited infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for; please read this page: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/

This warning message causes UpdraftPlus not able to create or complete backups. UpdraftPlus is only able to run when WordPress is loaded into memory, i.e. when the site is accessed. As such, UpdraftPlus is not able to resume the backups in good time.

I would recommend looking into this guide, which includes several suggestions to solutions and workarounds for the low visitor issue: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/

2: 7285.114 (10) The attempt to close the zip file returned an error (PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature). List of files we were trying to add follows (check their permissions).
    > This can mean two things, UpdraftPlus does not have enough permission or your server disk space is already full. Please check on that.

    Thanks,

Thank you, I followed all of what I could from that link. It looks like my server disc space is only at 74% so not full. As far as I know Updraft has permissions but I’m not entirely sure how to check this.
I am still not getting complete backups. I finally decided to do Jetpack Backup at least for now since I really needed to get backed up.
I would like Updraft to work for me though.

    Hi @fmstucki

    Apologies for the delay.

Can you check how much is the size of the entire backup and the disk space that is available? You can check the size of your site in the UpdratPlus “Advance Tools” tab > Site size.

    Regards,
    Bryle
