It depends what you’re trying to do exactly, but in most cases, you can use WooCommerce’s attributes for that.
For example, if you sell cars on your site, then every car can have the additional information in attributes: color, model, year, etc. In this case, these attributes are just for informational purposes. Each attribute would have a name (e.g. color) and one value (e.g. blue).
You can also use attributes to give your customers options to select, if you sell items with different variations. For example, if you sell clothing, then you can set up a Variable Product, with various attributes such as size or color. Each attribute would then have a name (e.g. color) but more than one value value (e.g. blue, red, black, etc). The customer can then select which color they want.
