My company currently has a landing page through Semplice. I will be creating our final website through another site on WordPress. While I’m constructing our new site, will our old landing page stay in place until I am ready to switch them?

Start your new site under a subdomain, like new.example.com (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on creating a subdomain).

When you’re ready for it to take over, move it to the main domain following this guide: https://wordpress.org/support/article/moving-wordpress/#moving-directories-on-your-existing-server
