• I’m on v. 2.9 but that’s not an option in the Version dropdown, above.

I have a theme I am customizing with some HTML in the header, via a theme admin screen. Before I upgraded to 2.9, it worked fine displaying in two columns with some HTML/CSS coding. After upgrading, it is inserting \ marks before the ” marks and won’t display properly.

I have the same theme on another domain with 2.8.6, so I went and plugged in the exact same code – works fine. I also tried deactivating all plugins. That didn’t fix it either.

    So it’s 2.9 that’s the issue.

Any idea how to fix this?

You can see the one that is incorrectly displayed at http://digigirlhost.com. The one that is correctly displayed (ignore the rest of the messiness, it’s just the text in the header area that I’m concerned with right now) is at http://everydaydelicious.com.

    The code in question is:

    <div style=position:relative; float:left; width:250px;><ul><li>Free WordPress Setup</li><li>Blog Migration</li><li>Wordpress Tune-up</li></div>
    <div style="position:relative; float:left; width:250px;"><ul><li>Backup & Maintenance Program</li><li>Wordpress Security Checkup</li></div>
