Yes, you are correct. Google Cloud Print is shutting down at the end of the year, but continues to be reliable and stable during this period.
To your question specifically. Yes, we are working on evaluating a potential new solution, as you can imagine replacing a Google Infrastructure is not a small development switch. We are working on potential partnerships and developing a new solution, but the new solution is not ready to share.
We will keep the community updated and let them know when it’s available to switch and general information about the new product in the future. Our goal is to provide more information later this year on the product status and future product replacement. By default, the POS print functionality will inherit the new solution for the Cloud Print replacement to support printing receipt tickets after GCP support ends.
