    Hi everyone,

I’m having problems with my wordpress site when I try to edit code through Theme Editor. It keeps giving me the error “Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over http://FTP.”. I get this error in any file I want to edit. The website is all up to date and. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

    Kind regards,
    Meriton

  • Hi
Try changing the permissions of the theme files that you want to edit to 666, or use an FTP or SFTP client and a plain text editor to edit them remotely.
Also, some of the WordPress Themes, Hosting Providers, and also WP Security Plugins may have prevented you from making changes.

You should change your file through FileZilla or File Manager(CPanel).
Also, there is nothing to be worried about. You didn’t break anything.
