• Hello,

I’m looking at options for a word press deployment for a business I want to start. But can’t find or know what the names are used for a particular plugin I’m hoping exists.

Basically I want a website, with an online shop. But in the online shop I want to be able to offer custom products, example the customer can go in choose between say a mug, glass, tumbler whatever it might be an it has like a design wizard as they go through.

So they select the product they want, upload an image or choose from pre-existing patterns and can move it around the product in a visual way, Spits out a price, which they can then order and the system generates an order, takes payment. The wizard needs to be able to be a little flexible so say we want to do T-shirts we could use a T-shirt for someone to put text, textures on etc, then do shoes in the same way.

From there we then take say an order in word press, input it across into our ticketing system in the back end then ship the orders out. Mark them as shipped back into the website once we have shipped them. Only other requirement is the store needs to be able to work out Australia Post shipping or a flat rate option.

Does any such thing exist and if so can anyone make any recommendation for plugins, themes etc to do this? I’ve heard Woocommerce can do this but I’m not sure if it can do the design elements we require?

    Thank you in advance!

I’d say WooCommerce is still your best option. They have a ton of extensions which do all sorts of things. Additionally, it’s highly extensible for adding in bespoke apps if an existing module isn’t meeting your needs.

The more specific you needs, the less likely it is you’ll find an existing solution. Sometimes you can piece together various plugins to get what you need, though often a bit of custom coding is required to tie them all together.

It’s likely at least some of your needs would need to be custom developed. Collect as many existing modules you can to meet your needs. Develop bespoke code to handle anything else.
