I don’t see an option to add an appointment from the admin area, as shown in the documentation. I see filter and export but nothing above that. What am I missing?

    Thanks.

    Hello @gregf,

When the plugin is first installed and activated, a page called Schedule an Appointment is created. The button in the admin area leads to this page.

If that page is placed in the trash, the button in the admin area is removed. To restore the button, simply take the page out of the Trash folder.

If that page is deleted, unfortunately there is nothing we can do to restore the button. We are planning to make this a better experience and hope to improve how this functions in the future.

    Hope that helps,
    Natalie G

That page was in fact in the trash and I have taken it out. Now however, there are two problems. 1) The Add Appointment button still doesn’t appear in the admin area. 2) The Schedule an Appointment page doesn’t have any of the formatting or sidebar of my other pages. That’s why I created a separate page for the appointment form in the first place. Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Hey @gregf – we originally made that /appointments/ page full-screen so that there wouldn’t be any conflict with different WordPress themes. Since we are fully compatible, we plan to remove that from full-screen-only layout from future releases. Sorry for the confusion.

You can place the [ssa_booking] shortcode on any page to place the booking form. Each appointment also has its own shortcode that you can copy & paste – like [ssa_booking type=”phone-call”]

The first version shortcode will let your customer choose an appointment type and then choose a time. If you enter a shortcode where the type is specified (like the phone call example), then the user won’t be able to choose a type, they’ll just see the available times.

We have some more info and screenshots here:
    https://simplyscheduleappointments.com/guides/display-the-booking-calendar/

The admin currently just redirects to that /appointments/ page, but we’ll also be changing that in a future release so it can be booked right there in the admin (without going to the frontend)

I realize it can be a bit confusing, if you have any other questions on anything, please feel free to reach out to our pro support team – support@simplyscheduleappointments.com – and we’ll be glad to help you out

    Thanks,
    Nathanm
