    Hi there,

I’ve been working on a client site and deleted the cache to try to get the site to update changes on mobile. Unfortunately after doing so, it appears that the site isn’t loading on Safari. A few pages load if I click them, but the homepage looks like it’s stripped of all formatting and several other pages won’t load.

I can’t see any other caching plugins the client has or anything that would have caused this problem. I reverted any changes I’d made to the CSS or Javascript.

I tried deactivating Autoptomize and it didn’t change anything. I am a bit out of my league here.

    Please help!!

that sounds like a caching layer at the hosting company and I indeed see x-cache:hit in the HTTP response header, so you’ll have to escalate to host and ask to clear the page cache?

Ok thank you so much! I’m not sure who their hosting provider is but hopefully I can find out ASAP. Do you know why this may have happened when deleting the Autoptomize cache?

Well, when you delete autoptimize cache but not the page cache, you’re removing all autoptimized files but the page cache will still have references to the removed autoptimized files, so those files are not found, resulting in the CSS (and JS) not being loaded/ applied.
