Disable single event template?

I’d like to completely build my own single event page using Elementor. I can get all of the custom field data from the event by making my own shortcodes, but I can’t stop MEC from using its own template on the single event pages, rather than the template I’ve chosen for it in Elementor’s theme builder.

How can I do this?
