    I contacted paypal and they instructed me to share this as there is an error when trying to checkout with paypal

    Thank you for contacting Merchant Technical Support. Apologies for the confusion, but in this case I believe that the issue may be with WordPress/WooCommerce (and not at PayPal’s side.)

    In testing the website’s checkout flow for myself, I clicked the button to checkout as a guest (without logging into PayPal) using the black “Debit or Credit Card” button and encountered the “Something went wrong” error that you had mentioned. I then referenced the API logs here at our side, and did not find a DoExpressCheckout (DoEC) API call sent from the website (although a SetExpressCheckout [SetEC] API call was sent, both SetEC and DoEC need to be sent from the website in order for the sale to actually occur.) Please refer to our Developer documentation website – https://developer.paypal.com/docs/archive/express-checkout/ec-finalize-payment/ for further details on this.

    Please contact WooCommerce with these details to determine next steps in troubleshooting the issue. I am including the log in question below my signature.

    Hi @wwwnews,

    I understand you are having trouble with PayPal Checkout as you are getting “Something went wrong” error when trying to make the payment via PayPal with the card. Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status to understand how your site is currently configured? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
