I’ve added a custom field ‘thumb-slideshow’ and put the url of the image to the value. It is still not working.

Thanks for this theme! Just tried to get the slideshow going (2.9.1), entering, custom field, ‘thumb-slideshow’ and http url of the pics, but cannot get it work. Entered the height of the pics, 125 px, at the setting page.
Any suggestion?

Just wanted to know if all the components to run the slideshow are already in the theme?
Several website using constructor theme have a “imagerotator.swf”, what is part of Nextgen slideshow plugin. Somehow I can’t find this in the files of the basic constructor template?
Ok got the slideshow finally working, wasn’t an easy job thou! Thanks again, great theme! Looks a bit like Russian nostalgia, spartan, ascetic, but nicely made.
It would have been helpful if you had posted the solution to the problem for others! Thanks
