You can try:
.cat-post-item:first-child {
color: red;
}
Otherwise please describe your aim in some more detail or leave us your Url.
Hello, thank you very much for the quick feedback.
Unfortunately the theme does not allow the change completely. Only the color of the date entry changes.
My goal is actually to display two category posts in one widget.
The first category post should only show the newest post + fas fa-bell. The second category post should show the other posts.
The background is that we want to highlight the latest post.
Currently I have set 2 widgets for this. See picture
But I want to take the left one into the right widget.
I have also tried plugin like “amr shortcode”. But my theme doesn’t allow this in an optimal way.
Is there any way to solve the problem using the plugin’s own shortcode option?

Thanks a lot!
I don’t understand why your Theme doesn’t allow changing CSS.
It’s not possible to add CSS with the Customizer (https://kometschuh.de/easily-adding-custom-css-using-the-wordpress-theme-customizer.html)?
You can send us a Url at our support pages and I will give you exact CSS code: http://tiptoppress.com/support/
Otherwise, our pro version supports “alteration” pattern. You can set up, for example, the first post in your post list bigger as all other posts in your post list: http://demo.tiptoppress.com/asymmetrical/
Please see also the description in our documentation: http://tiptoppress.com/term-and-category-based-posts-widget/documentation-4-9/#Alterations
