Categories and sub-categories

    Hi all!
    Wordpress + WooCommerce + Storefront.

    I’m sorry for my poor English, but I have a problem.
    On the homepage there is a menu with 3 images of the categories of the products.

    When I create sub-categories, they are displayed in that position (categories and sub categories together), as if they were main categories and not children.
    How can I make sure that only the main categories are shown on the honepage, and the sub categories instead when you get to the intended page?
