Hello,
I am searching an answer for this topic, but so far do not come across any answer. My SEO told me that I do have an unnecessary redirect chain when pressing on Page2 the Page 1 “back button” on a Category/Archive Page:

example.com/muscle-joint-pain-relief/page/2/
redirect to:
example.com/muscle-joint-pain-relief/page/1/
redirect to:
example.com/muscle-joint-pain-relief/

the second redirect is unnecessary and the normal procedure should be:

Press PAGE 1 BUTTON and do this:

example.com/muscle-joint-pain-relief/page/2/
redirect to:
example.com/muscle-joint-pain-relief/

Is this a normal woocommerce behavior and is there some code to avoid above redirect chain as it is quite confusing for Google Crawler and SEO

Hey @fengshuibalanz !

This is something that WooCommerce does. There is no setting to change it, however, you can use the code found on this post to help remove that extra jump.

thank you so much for your help. The code works very well and hope maybe woocommerce would add it into the core to have better SEO for google crawlers.
