Same issue here. When UM is enabled I get error 500 for /wp-admin/nav-menus.php. I just installed UM 10 minutes ago and never had this issue before.

The only thing that I can relate is updating the WordPress version from 5.4.1 to 5.4.2.
Possible conflict with WordPress update?
The issue seems to have been resolved, at least for now, when I switched back to a different theme and then back to the original theme.
Don’t know the root cause of it.
Seems like the issue is still not resolved. The different issue I was facing had gotten resolved when I switched themes. And not the menu problem.

Firstly, please re-upload the Ultimate member plugin files to your server /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/ as the new version contains some fixes.
You can either delete the plugin from the plugins section and then re-install it again or
download the latest version here and upload plugin files to your server manually.
Secondly, try to do a quick conflict test so we can rule out any conflicts with your theme or one of your plugins. and see if this issue goes away.
Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

It semes like a conflict with either other plugins or theme itself.
I’ve tried using the same 2.1.6 version of Ultimate Member plugin with a fresh installation of WordPress and it is working fine.
