I may not have been clear: I’m referring to the in-line “a href=” links.
I just checked some WP feeds in Abilon, and they seem fine.
Do you have an example feed we could check ? what reader do you use ?

Goto http://www.tompkinsgroup.com/wordpress
Compare the postings with the RSS XML code. All of the in-line href information has been stripped.
The net result seems to be that when a reader is set to display a summary instead of the web page, there are no live links.
The reader I use is the one built into Thuderbird.
Agreed, it is stripped, and I’m using Abilon.
It’s ages since I’ve used 1.2, but it may be worth updating to 1.2.2 as rss changes have been made since, and some security holes have also been fixed.

Thank you.
1.2 was the version available on my host’s servers.
What’s the easiest way to upgrade–without destroying what I’ve already done?

I found the upgrade instructions…
Thank you for your help.

OK, I upgraded to 1.2.2 (uninstalled 1.2; installed 1.2.2), and the problem persists.
Any ideas how to fix this would be appreciated.
This is normal behavior for WP v1.2.x. The RSS is sent as plain text. I’m not sure how to change it, but stripping the RSS of links encourages site visits. ^_-

Thank you.
Too bad it’s not an option.

I’ve watched the results. Stripping the RSS of links does not encourage site visits, it just irritates the readers. I view this as a design flaw.
Does anyone know of way to correct this?
I’m having the same problem. Just upgraded to WordPress 1.5 and it still happens. Has anyone found a solution?
