Home page issues

I’m pretty new to WordPress but have managed to get our website up and running.

We won’t really be using the Blog feature so I’m setting a static page as our Home Page. I don’t seem to be able to do this without also creating a duplicate page (so Home and the duplicate both think to the same content)
Is there a way around this so we jsut have a Home page without the puplicate?
