Getting Error: An error occurred while submitting your data. Please try again.

    Hi, when a user enters their name and email and clicks Submit they get an error “An error occurred while submitting your data. Please try again.” I’m using Thrive Architect with WordPress. Thrive directed me to my hosting provider and my hosting provider directed me to Thrive, it seems I cannot get answers. Has anyone experienced this error before and how do I fix it?

    Thrive provided me this message:

    Please, could you reach out to your hosting provider and ask if mail() function is set up properly or if they can provide any inputs or check if there are settings that cause the contact form to not work as expected?

    We have other customers who have this issue as the cause seems to be their configuration on their server and they used the WP Mail SMTP plugin, configured it correctly and have the contact forms to work properly.

    But I have reservations editing the wp-config.php.

    But not sure if it’ll fix my error.

    I’m using Thrive Architect with WordPress.

    Thrive Architect plugin could not be found in the wordpress.org/plugins/ directory, as far as I can see.
    Are you using Thrive Architect plugin by http://www.thrivethemes.com/?

    If so, since that is a commercial theme or plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.

    Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly.

    As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums.
