Error Establishing a Databse connection

    this happened after woocommerce upgrade. everytime I resend a new order notification email, I get logged off of the dashboard with the error message below:

    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    Hi @zhandralaurel,

    WooCommerce does not connect to your sites database and all database connectivity is handled by the WordPress core software itself.

    If all of your WordPress database connection details like username, password, hostname are all correct could be your database is occasionally going offline for some reason making that unreachable.

    I’d try checking your hosting logs to see if those hold any errors.

    There are also logs available to view at WooCommerce > Status > Logs which you could look at to see if the fatal errors log holds any information.

    Had this on low powered servers – basically the server was running out of RAM and shutting down the MySQL service – moved to a better server!

    You need to talk to your host.
