    Hi!

I am creating a paid “first course” to try Tutor LMS and check if it has all what I need to create a nice course to my customers. I am finding several limitations and I would like to know if there is any solution to them.

For each lesson I add a PDF with relevant and well graphically designed information. But I want to protect the PDF to be downloaded so my students can just read it online. For that reason the option in Tutor to add a PDF file doesn’t fit my needs.

So I thought I could embed the PDF from my BOX.com cloud storage. In my website pages I can add the Embed Code with the iFrame source without any problem. But in the lesson body I can’t.

I have tried to add it through the HTML tab but it is deleted and not working.

Same with an MP3 of a meditation I want to add to the lessons.

Is there any solution to this? Could you open the lesson design to add embed codes?

For now, I have installed a plugin to embed PDF, but still I have to upload the PDF to WP, I would prefer to embed using the code provided by BOX.

Uploading PDFs and MP3 to WordPress is highly risk since it can be downloaded without paying if you guess the link.

Thank you for your answer. I think there is still much to improve on content security, since we invest lot of time to create it.

    Regards!

    Antonio

  • Hello @antoniogallego

To embed PDF into the lessons follow this: https://www.loom.com/share/0cca646db30b45c58e0fc004128918a7

That will help for audios to embed also I hope. .

Thanks for your query. Have a nice day

    Hi Nayeem,

    Thank you for your answer.

As said I already managed to embed PDF using a plugin. Problem is that those plugins require the PDF tube uploaded to WP Media Library and that is a risk if I want to avoid downloading them without enrolling in a paid course.

I find much more secure to protect my content to be able to embed the iframe code provided by cloud storage services in the lesson HTML.

¿Is there any way Tutor LMS to allow this in a future?

Regarding to the audio, I will find any plugin to embed, but it is same situation: I don’t want to keep my files in the WP Media Library.

If you find any way to add the iframe code to the lessons, let me know it please.

Thank you very much for your kind support

    Hello @antoniogallego

Iframe codes and any other codes should work fine as my previously mentioned way in the video. . Just open the lesson in Classic editor mode and apply the code in the text tab https://prnt.sc/syf6e2

    Thanks

    Hi Nayeem,

I am using Safari and also Firefox and the option “Classic Editor” doesn’t appear in my lessons editor. It is missing. Any idea why it could happen and how to solve it?

    Thank you

    Oh, sorry, I found it!

It is an option in course settings. I will activate it and check if it works. I will let you know.

    Thank you for your support.

FYI, the embed code can be added in classic editor mode as you suggested.

Unfortunately I can’t see the embedded files in Safari, but I can see them in Chrome and Firefox. So it is now a matter of Box.com or Safari.

Thank you for all your kind support.

    Regards
