• Hi team,

I’m setting the Social Media Image in the “Grow: Share options” on my posts, but the images are not appearing as expected when I share it on facebook.

Taking a look into the HTML code, I can see that the Yoast plugin is generating the og:image tag too – And that Facebook uses this one to display the image ignoring the one that I set on Grow, I believe because it appears first in the code.

There’s some way to make the og:image tag from Grow to appear first without uninstalling Yoast plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Support. I’m also having the same issue!

The big issue is that Yoast’s open graph is the first showing when it used to have Grow’s taking over and disabling Yoast’s OG tags.

It has two open graph tags with Grow’s below Yoast so that will never show on FB, Twitter, etc. It should be disabling the Yoast open graph tags

    Hi Folks,

Thanks for reaching out, this is an issue we are aware of. Yoast changed their underlying implementation of the meta tags their plugin output so our removal script has stopped working. We have a fix that is currently undergoing quality assurance and will go out with the next release.

    Thanks for your patience,
    Miles
