Form styling tips needed

I have tried Contact 7 vs Ninja. Frustrated with both. The Ninja form looks “prettier” out of the box with Yes/No dropdowns and field prompts and equal and judicious spacing between input fields. I would prefer using Contact 7 as it is more developed and reliable.
Where do I add more code to control styling on the Contact 7 form, make it more user-friendly like the Ninja form? Notice the crowded area between the Yes/No questions and the first fillable field of the form. Too tight!
