I have 2 aliases attached to my main domain. When I try to enter those URL’s, I get an error 503 “Advanced Blocking in effect”.

So, since there was nothing specific, I tried turning off Rate Limiting and Advanced Blocking (apparently they’re connected). The error happened on my first attempt to see my main page, but something is blocking my site aliases (not trying to log in, just see the main domain on entering the alias address.)

Turning off Advanced Blocking didn’t do anything. I’m still getting the same error. How can that even happen? Please offer suggestions. Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @aym4t,

the quickest way back into the site is to rename the Wordfence plugin directory to something like wordfence.bak via sFTP or your hosting control panel. Once you’re back in the site you can rename it back to reenable it.

Once you’re back in can you tell me why they are getting blocked? Go to Wordfence -> Live Traffic, filter by Blocked or Blocked by Firewall, and tell me what you see.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

Hope you don’t mind me adding… I can’t even get to that setting.

I get blocked as the admin!
