cs-post-content inheritting <p>

Hi – I’m trying to put in a dynamic jquery featured content slider on my home page but when i put the <div> into the post page I think wordpress is automatically adding <p></p> in places preventing the javascript from executing.

I’ve spent about 20 hours trying different featured content sliders and they all seem to be incompatible with other plugins that I need…I thought this one would work but its having issues…any help would be much appreciated.
