Styling comment posts

I can’t figure out how to give 1 comment post a background color and make the other below transparent. One colored, one transparent pattern. My website is http://www.graphictask.com/?p=36

I tried adding some new things in css but I don’t know how to define the second post. PLEASE help me if this can actually be done.
