Best way to import XML?

    What is the best way to import XML manually? I’ve exported some posts from an LJ community as an XML file and need to import those. The LJ import tool in WP doesn’t allow for manual import and user name and password pulls posts from my personal journal and not the community. There has to be a way to do this and I’m not getting any answers unfortunately. Thanks!
