• I’m having difficulties getting portrait pictures to display correctly. Slideshows worked after turning the resize option to false, but when showing the picture itself after clicking on the thumbnail it blows the picture way out of proportion. Image sizes are to be 800px wide at maximum, and all the landscape shots display correctly. Images also display correctly under the gallery edit and show the resolution to be 800px tall x 500(ish) wide. Images are displaying on the site at 1200(ish) tall x 800 wide. Is there an option that I’ve missed somewhere?

  • I have the same problem

i think i have the solution

in “options” of NextGen and “Gallery settings”

    don’t choose :
Show ImageBrowser : The gallery will open the ImageBrowser instead the effect.

I cannot seem to figure out how to add a new topic so I will try here. I love this plug in and have used it for about 18 months.

I just moved to a new hosting co. Did a backup and restore of DB and copied ALL files from old to new. Set up same path on new server to WPMU install public_html. All images are showing when I use a gallery.

I have a main blogs and 25 sub blogs. When I put a slide show in the subblogs (example: http://golffitnessblog.fitgolf.com) all is perfect. When I try to use the same slideshow in the main blog (http://fitgolf.com) i get the :need a flash player and a browser with JS” error.

So, I compared installs and settings in the NGG plugin. All setting including location of the imagerotator.swf are the same (wp-content/uploads/imagerotator.swf) and because it is MU i beleive that that points to the same imagerotator for both blogs.

I have been through a variety of formus and see the error listed in many places. I have attempted to make the fixes that many offered, if it made sense.

So I wonder what is different. I am an intermediate WP user with limited JS knowledge and ability.

    Does anyone have any suggestion?

@ bendix: That actually worked to a degree. The picture displays correctly that way, however all screen formatting for the theme that I’ve got is gone…just the picture on a white internet background comes up. I quite like the way that the effect comes up with the image on top of the website, so I’d like a to keep that if at all possible…

@nightwynd: I had that problem with the white page. I went to gallery>options>effects and chose “thick box” (you can also choose “shutter”) and saved changes. This gave me the same kind of effect you were talking about but without the “next” and “pervious” buttons. Hope that helps.
