    Hi,

    I have been using WooCommerce for a few years now but I run into a major problem today.

    I just got one order and it didn’t include the shipping cost. I have the shipping zones defined for a long time and I never had this issue. But I also noticed that in the order page (that I can see from the WP Dashboard), I only have the billing address and not both the billing and the shipping address. I really don’t know if this is related but this is different from all the other orders I have had so far and in none of them I had this issue.

    Can you please explain to me what happened or what I need to change so this doesn’t happen again?

    @wp_doubt I’d recommend trying to reproduce the issue first, so that hopefully you can narrow down the problem and identify the variables that allow this to happen.

    It sounds like it’s only been one order that came in like this. If you try to place an order that is identical to the one that you received, does it allow you to create it without selecting a shipping method?

    I only have the billing address and not both the billing and the shipping address.

    Out of the box, WooCommerce will not ask customers to enter a shipping address or select a shipping method if all the products they are checking out have been configured as virtual (not physical). You could check if that is the case with the items on that order.

    I already did that and I always get the shipping price displayed on the cart. I have 4 different zones created (each one for specific countries) and the client falls into one of them. I only have one rate defined, so he doesn’t even need to pick one. I have had many customers (including this one) from this country and they have always paid the shipping price.

    All the products that I’m selling are physical.

    All the previous orders have always added the shipping cost. But not this one. I really don’t understand why. Just want to prevent this from happening again.

    @wp_doubt It’s hard to be able to troubleshoot this type of issues without being able to reproduce them. If it works correctly when you try to replicate it, it’s not possible to know what happened when the customer placed the order.

    It might be a good idea to reach out to them to investigate what happened. Were they asked to select a shipping method? Did they see any errors? Then maybe you can learn something that can help you reproduce this or give you clues about what happened when they placed the order to cause this.
