In fact, this availability is available in display option when you create the shortcode, please head over to desired shortcode settings page and set the “Start of Next Month” for the start date: https://i.postimg.cc/BvWn3Yzv/image.png

That doesn’t seem to change the month in the search form. I’ve made the changes but the start of the search box is January even though we’re in May.

When you shown the next month, so you don’t need to search for the same month. so this is not an issue, but to improve I will forward your topic to our developer team and they’ll surely receive it. If it is possible they will add this feature in the upcoming updates of the Plugin.
