  • since you don’t really know php. the easiest thing to do is if you hosting has a backup feature restore your site to the last date it was working.

if not as the error tells you, there is a problem in the file “wp-content\themes\carrington-blog\functions\sidebars.php” in line 31 you probably deleted a coma, word, dot or something you can upload you theme again through FTP and this should fix it.

your are not going to be able to upload the theme with wordpress.

Thank you. I have contacted Godaddy and hope that they can restore my site to when it was working. I have learned a very valuable lesson the first being don’t tamper with things you don’t know about and always always always make back up of your info. Since if Godaddy is not able to restore my site I will have lost all of my blog posts.

Not necessarily. Your posts are in your database and that doesn’t normally go away if your WordPress installation does.

You may also try to access your WP admin by going directly to http://your_domain_here/wp-admin and change the theme to another one (default would be a good choice).
