• Hi Guys,

I have a website that google cannot find.
For some reason if I type in the exact address of my site Google still cannot find any results for it. I see all kinds of other results, but not my homepage, or official site homepage.

I’ve uploaded a sitemap, verified my site with google, and still…
I’m in the dark online! Where do I go from here?
How can I fix this problem?

    Thx Guys!

  • Post a link to your site.

If it’s a brand new site, patience is the key. Well, that and a few incoming links.

Also check that the site is visible to web crawlers (Admin > Settings > Privacy).

Could be a number of things. Post your site URL here.

Sorry Guys, forgot to include that.

Thx for any help in advance!

There are a few code validation errors that might possibly stop you from being indexed (if Google can’t crawl the site properly), but Googlebot is pretty forgiving from my experience, so I doubt that’d be the case. Might want to fix them up anyway.

Only other comment that springs to mind would be that there’s not a lot of text content to actually be indexed – so that might be a factor (nice looking site though). Pictures with little/no surrounding text don’t usually tend to rank very well.

Getting some decent links from other relevant sites would help enormously too.
