You could also use Maxgalleria to show it within a slider.
Or use Smart Slider.
Both plugins give you a very good way to show the images from within the folder you created.

Correct but you have more control over the images. As with Maxgalleria and Smart Slider, you can alter the size of the images shown. Also you have the possebility to show different slides within one post.
With Smart Slider you can import the images, and I believe that is also possible with Maxgalleria.
