1) Add “Pixabay” button in “Add New Post” interface: https://ps.w.org/pixabay-images/assets/screenshot-2.png?rev=1717044
This makes possible to set it as a featured image right away, see https://wordpress.org/plugins/flickr-pick-a-picture/
2) Show “Pixabay” as a source when click “Add Media” button inside the editor:

It looks like you are using the classic editor. I have added this to my todo list.
3) Always use the highest possible resolution (1280xauto).
I have just released version 1.2.2 in which by default highest possible resolution (1280xauto) is downloaded.
4) Add format for Caption string, e.g. want it to be “Photo: $user / Pixabay” and don’t want to show <span class=”info”>…</span> part.
I have just released version 1.2.2 in I have removed the <span class=”info”>…</span> part. Please download the latest version.

Mahesh, many thanks for the update!
Yes, we use classic editor and need a simplest possible way for inserting featured images right from the post.
Current solution requires to leave article you are writing, click “Download Free Images” from the menu, find image, download it, find it in media library, edit it, add hot spots (using My Eyes Are Up Here plugin), save image, then get back to article, then click “Set featured image”. This is very complicated workflow.
Check out how simple it is using https://wordpress.org/plugins/flickr-pick-a-picture/
There is very similar implementation for Pixabay (official one), but it is broken now:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/pixabay-images/
Can you add settings page so we can add prefix to image caption, such as “Photo:” and where it would be possible to set Default Image Size and other future things you implement?
Also I find very confusing that after installation the plugin is called “Download Free Images” and menu item is “Download images”. If the goal is to include more websites in the future (Pexels, Flickr, etc), then you could rename everything to “Free Images”.

@mahesh901122 Did you have time to look into issues I’ve reported?
Hello @krstarica,
Thanks for the remembering about the suggestions.
I’ll definitely add the new tab in image upload popup in the future plugin release.
Also, I’ll add the settings page in which I’ll add all possible customisable options like default prefix for title, alt, image download size etc.
Regarding plugin name the mebu is “Download images”. I have a plan to include more websites in the future (Pexels, Flickr, etc). But I’ll update the menu name as “Free Images”.

@mahesh901122 it would be nice if you could:
1) Change menu item name from “Download images” to “Pixabay” (or “Free Images”).
2) After the image is downloaded, instead of “Download” button plugin should display “Edit” button, to prevent from downloading image again and to be able to jump to editing the image.
3) Consider removal of lower resolution completely, but leave the highest possible only. Just taking space in user interface. Nobody would download lower than 1280xauto these days.
4) Add format for Caption string, e.g. I would like to add prefix “Photo: ” in plugin settings, i.e. it would be “Photo: $user / Pixabay” and change it to different language when necessary.
5) Show “Pixabay” as a source when click “Add Media” button inside the editor:
https://ps.w.org/pixabay-images/assets/screenshot-3.jpg?rev=1717044
6) Classic editor: Add “Pixabay” button in “Add New Post” interface: https://ps.w.org/pixabay-images/assets/screenshot-2.png?rev=1717044 This makes possible to set it as a featured image right away, which is very important, see https://wordpress.org/plugins/flickr-pick-a-picture/
7) Add Flickr, Pexels and other sources when possible.
