Theme font change not reflecting on website

Hi,

I have couple of questions about WordPress Theme font change.

I want to achieve –

(1) Override the theme font family and have uniform font for the body / paragraph on all posts. The font of my choice is “Georgia”.

(2) When I want to create new post , I want the default font to be selected as “Georgia” so that I don’t have to manually change the font after I finish post.

Things I tried

(1) Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS . I added below

*{
font-family: “Georgia”;
}

This does not change font of all posts or atleast paragraph of all posts. This is surprising. The old posts still have old font.

(2) When I start writing new post, the default font is “NonBreakingSpaceOverride”

(3) I deleted cache using WP Super Cache. Still no use.

Can someone please help me?

Sorry to hear about the font trouble!

Could you possibly share your url so we can take a look and see what the problem is? Typically, the code you posted would change the font (although it would affect a lot more than the post paragraphs).

Hi, sachinwordpress1234.

(1) Even if you change the font on such “low level”, there are certain parts of the theme where the default font gets overridden, so you’d need to target those parts additionally.

(2) What font shows up in the new post editor doesn’t matter much because it will get set in the CSS later on.

Though, as Steven (LyraThemes) said, posting your website URL would help.

Hi @sachinwordpress1234.

Thank you for your website URL. However, it uses the Twenty Twenty theme and this thread is for the Kale theme – https://wordpress.org/themes/kale/.

Please ask for help in the https://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentytwenty/ section.
