WordPress not recognising correct version of PhP

    I am trying to install a plugin (Woocommerce), but it won’t allow me as it said my PhP version isn’t high enough. I went to CPanel (hostgator) and made sure I am at 7.1 (the highest I could select). Since I updated to latest version of WP, my dashboard has an alert saying that my PhP is insecure. I installed “Display PhP Version” so I can see what version it thinks I have, and this is showing as 5.6.30.

    If I run https://www.mutherfudger.co.uk/phpinfo.php, it comes back as 7.1.4

    I am running wordpress version 5.4.1. All plugins are up to date, and I have cleared my cache. Is this an issue with WP? If anyone can help me convince WP of the correct version of PhP as it is preventing me installing the plugin.

    I have had a similar experience and it turned out to be my host, have you raised a support ticket with your host?
