• Can you advise me on how to do this?

I wish to do make all the changes to my WordPress Blog/Website offline. Then, once a month, upload all the new changes so they become available online.

Can you advise me on a your recommended strategy to do this?

My work off-line is mostly creating new pages in WordPress. I don’t use posts. Just pages.

However, some people will make comments on the online pages during the month. And I will have answered them. How can I cater for these online changes so I do not lose them when I upload my monthly changes?

The reason for this is I am on dialup. I have limited use of the phone line. If I make changes off-line then I can let my family use the phone while I work on my WordPress blog/website. I will add images offline too. Then somehow upload the content including new pages and changed pages, overnight, once per month.

Do I need to install WordPress on my PC? Will any web client enable me to do this? Please give me a clear step-by-step approach to solve my problem as I’m rather new to WordPress. Many thanks. 🙂

I hope you can recommend a way for me to work on my WordPress pages, add new ones and preview them, (but not posts) offline, then upload the new pages and changed pages without losing comments added to the online pages on my website. 🙂

    Hank

  • With WordPress the the content is store in database. Comments are stored separately than content on your pages.
If you want to replace the database that you have up with the one that you are working locally, the comments will be overwritten. Maybe you can do synchronization, step by step manually.
