Braintree Payment Form

We have been using this Gravity Forms Braintree Addon plugin to accept payments on our “Pay a Bill” page. Its a simple form that makes a single payment to Braintree for a specific amount (amount is entered in a field). We have been getting email warnings about an update from Braintree that is going to break this plugin (getting the plugin to work in the first place was a pain because it hasn’t been updated in 4 years:

“Braintree plans to update our root SSL certificate provider for API traffic on May 1, 2020. Our records show that you are using a legacy SDK version that will not be compatible with this SSL update. We’re reaching out to provide the information you need to ensure you can continue processing payments without any interruption.”

It seems there are no other options for a Braintree payment plugin. I’ve tried:
– Braintree for Woocommerce (not capable of using an amount field & based around products instead of making one time payments)
– WP-Braintree (also not capable of using an amount field)

According to Braintree, our PHP SDK must be updated to at least version 3.8.0 for payments to continue working, but I’m not even sure how to check what SDK version my Gravity Forms Braintree Addon plugin is using.

I’m very much trying to avoid creating a new payment form from scratch & would appreciate any input on my issue.
